It's been one of those weeks - stressful! So much has been going on and everything just seems to be happening at once but we got through it and made it to the weekend! Thankfully a quiet weekend was planned so I had some down time with the family. Even with everything going on with work, meetings and planning on moving house we still packed in lots of fun. Here is my HappyDays!
Out & About
Last weekend I ran the Race for life, the boys came along to cheer me on and while I was doing the run they enjoyed some quality time with Daddy at the park and eating ice cream (big surprise!).
We enjoyed a picnic and an afternoon at the Arboretum on Wednesday. The boys had their stroppy moments but overall it was a lovely day. It was great to finally get some sun and to finally get out properly for the first time this week. It was lovely to get away from everything that was going on and to just have some fun with my little guys.
Friday was a day we had been looking forward to for a while - a day at the zoo with some family! Unfortunately my husband had to work but we had the day with my Mum-in-law, Dad-in-law, Grandma-in-law, Sister-in-law and my Nephew. All the in laws lol! It was a great day and the boys had so much fun. We got to see so many animals and do so many things. Finley had his face painted for the first time.
Fun at Home
There wasn't much fun had at home this week as we have been so busy with other things, but we did have chance for cuddles while watching some movies when it was pouring down at the start of the week.
Time for Me
Hubby and I got to spend last Saturday night celebrating our wedding anniversary with a night away at a spa hotel. My husbands lovely Mother-in-law looked after the boys while we got to have some chill out time and enjoy some yummy food, including afternoon tea!
My Happiest Moment
My happiest moment this week was on Thursday. Finley had his first day at his new preschool and I was so nervous. He is known to settle well but I was still a little on edge about it. But he was an absolute star! Considering he had only been there for a half hour before when we looked around he went in with no hesitation. Got his name, put it on the name line and went off to play. They called me about an hour later and said he was doing great. He was so excited to tell me what he had done when I picked him up and he seemed to love it. I really am so proud of him. Hopefully he will be the same next week.
Next week I would like to......
I hope to enjoy lots of time in the sun with park visits and lots of walks. I'm also looking forward to some girlie time next weekend which will include wine, food and a big big catch up!
Sounds like you had a great week, loving the face paint and the fact that you got some couple time - happy anniversary :) #HappyDays x
