Finley loves fire engines so when we went to the emergency services show and we got the chance to have a ride in one, it had to be done.

He rode up front with the driver and through the whole experience he had the biggest smile on his face.

His dream came true that day, however little they may be they still have dreams. And this dream became a reality and a memory for the whole family.



My Captured Moment #33

With Finley going into his second year at preschool and Tuesday marking a year since he started, this weeks My Captured Moment obviously had to be his first day of preschool photos.

Looking back on them have made me quite emotional for a few reasons. The main and most obviously one being how he has grown. He was still a toddler here to me but now he is definitely a preschooler. The second being that he no longer goes to that preschool as it had to close. This makes me pretty sad as he loved it there and he had the best key worker we could have asked for him, she was so kind and lovely and we couldn't have asked for a better lady to guide him through the start of his journey in education.

He now goes to another preschool and loves it, so as long he is happy so are we.

My Captured Moment #32

This weeks My Captured Moment is a photo that I took on Monday. I have been meaning to take Finley to the cinema to see the Minions movie for the whole summer. But something has always got in the way like a pre organised day out or something else has come up.

It was bank holiday Monday and Finley was back to preschool on Tuesday. I wanted to do something with just him. To have some us time. It was raining so I thought what better time to go to the cinema. Especially with Daddy home as he and Noah could do something together.

We headed to the cinema and he was so excited. We arrived and went to get popcorn. He loves popcorn. He also asked for sweets. And I thought why not, we don't do the cinema that often. And as you can tell from the picture he was one happy boy.

We didn't get many sweets but the little amount we did made him one happy bunny.

He was so good and sat through the whole film, laughed loudly and chatted to me about the film. We even had a chat about it after which was lovely.

My baby is no longer a baby and he is growing into an amazing little boy. We had the best time and I got to really enjoy him and give him my full attention.

My Captured Moment #31

I'm linking up with Heledd at Running in Lavender for My Captured Moment. I love doing this each week as I really look at my photos and I actually give the simplest ones meaning.

This picture was taken last week on our bus trip back from town. Finley looks deep in thought and this was how he was most of the journey, before he fell asleep!

The bus route was through places which we haven't been before so he was just taking it all in. I really do love this photo, so simple but so meaningful to us.

My Captured Moment #30

This has got to be one of my favourite selection of shots of the boys. They are natural and show how much fun they are and the fun that they have.

They are typical brothers as they fight 90% of the time over a toy that neither of them is that fussed about but because the other one has it they have to have it too. But there is the other 10% of the time that they look out for each other and show each other how much they actually mean to one another.

These shots were taken on our weekly visit to our local arboretum on Monday. We were meeting a friend and I had one of my friends little girls with me as my friend was poorly, so I was taking the load off and letting her have some time to get better.

We decided to go around the dog walking part of the arboretum just for a change. As usual it took us forever, this time 5 hours!!!! Crazy, but as they say, time flies when your having fun. Along the path I noticed a slide, one we had never seen before. It was made out of a tree and was surrounded by tree trunks for the kids to balance on.

The kids had a ball and during one slide session Finley stood at the bottom of the slide and caught Noah. As you can see from the look on Noah's face he loved it!

They are very lucky boys to have a best friend for life in each other.

My Captured Moment #29

This weeks My Captured Moment is from a family wedding we attended last Friday. It's of my brother with the boys. This picture means so much to me for so many reasons.

My brother drives my bonkers sometimes but seeing him with the boys is amazing. He loves them and would do anything for them. If they said jump he would, and when they said can we have some sweets please, he got them!

There is 4 years between me and my brother. He means the world to me. We have clashed in the past but the past few years we seem to be bonding again. Especially since I've had the boys. He asks to see them and posts pictures on his Instagram of the them expressing his love for them.

I just love this photo and I love all three of them.

My Captured Moment #28

This weeks My Captured Moment is from our day out on Saturday. We enjoyed a lovely family day, just the 4 of us, roaming around a farm centre and picking our own fruit.

 

It was the best day. As parents we all know one day out to the next can all be different. Our day out Saturday was the best day and having time just us 4 was something we really needed.

 

These two drive me potty every single day but photos like this remind me why I do it, to make these two the happiest little boys in the world.
