My Week At A Glance 12/09 - 18/09

Another week under our belt and what a lovely one it was!

On Saturday we spent the morning with my Nan at a country fair in the village I grew up in. The boys had so much fun on the fun fair rides and also riding some horses, something I never thought I would see Noah doing with him being so shy with animals.

Sunday we spent the day as just us four at the Emergency Services Show, you can read about our day here.

Monday was a shocking day weather wise so to make sure we didn't go too crazy we went to soft play, to my surprise it was just us, but it was 9.30am!! The afternoon was then spent at the hospital for Noah's eye appointment while Finley had an afternoon playing at my best friends and eating birthday cake.

Tuesday was a preschool and Tumble Tots day. After Tumble Tots Noah and I met my husband for lunch before going to pick up Finley, a nice relaxed day.

On Wednesday we had a morning shopping with my best friend and her little girl, a McDonalds lunch followed by an afternoon of playing at a great play centre near us. I then went for a run in the pouring rain but felt rather refreshed by it.

Thursday was preschool again so Noah and I headed over to a friends for lunch, and a very yummy lunch at that!

Now Friday was Noah's second day at preschool, he was a complete star and so was Finley by looking after him. I did the food shopping before going to pick them up and heading to Westonbirt for a lovely afternoon.

My Week At A Glance 05/09 - 11/09

This week has been a pretty chilled one, based on previous weeks. With Finley being back at preschool we are slowing getting back to a nice routine and having more time at home.

Saturday saw me do a 10k race, I really enjoyed it, something I never thought I would say. I had my little supporters waiting for me at the finish line which was lovely. We then spent the evening with some lovely friends while the boys had a sleepover at Granny and Grampy's. It was lovely with lots of drinks, food and laughs, just what I needed after my run.

Sunday we just spent the morning going to the tip with some garden rubbish and then went to collect the boys from my Mums. I love time to myself but I also love collecting the boys - I miss them when I'm not with them.

On Monday we had lunch at a friends after viewing a house and then spent the afternoon at Westonbirt. We then went home and Finley decided to watch TV in his hi-vis jacket while sat in a wicker box - as you do!

Tuesday was a preschool day for Finley and Tumble Tots day for Noah. After Tumble Tots we had friends over for lunch and a lovely afternoon at home, much needed. Our Disneyland tickets landed on the doorstep which is making us more and more excited by the day.

On Wednesday we spent the day at home, we popped to the shops for some bits and came home with some magazines for the boys. They kept them occupied for a while and plastered the sofa in stickers.

Thursday was another preschool day for Finley, while Noah and I had a day out with my sister in law. It didn't go to plan and you can read about it here.

Now Friday was the big day, Noah started preschool with Finley. I wrote about his first day and how it made me feel in Today You Started Preschool. We took the boys to Pizza Hut for tea as a treat for being so good. It was an emotion filled day but it went so well. So proud of my two boys.

Now for a family weekend with some lovely family outings planned.

My Week At A Glance 22/08 - 28/08

Another week and the last of the summer holidays. Back to preschool next week. Not sure how I am feeling about this. Yes it has been stressful but I love having them both at home.

I kick started the week with it being my birthday. What better way to start a week!

So Saturday was my birthday, I was woken up with cake and singing - what more could a mummy want! We then enjoyed a lovely lunch and play at the new Brewers Fayre soft play, we were joined by my Mum and Nan. Then the hubby and I enjoyed a few hours at the pub having a quiet drink while Mum took the boys food shopping. Then the evening was full of laughs, drink and food with our best friends. My friend got me my favourite flowers which are still brightening up our kitchen.

Sunday was a day full of parties. No photos here as it was a manic day but we started it off with Finley enjoying soft play for his pre school friends birthday. We then travelled down to see family in Bournemouth and to celebrate our nieces birthday. It was so lovely to have all the family together and to see all the kids playing.

Monday I was treated to lunch made by my friends husband, as she was working and we had a viewing. Monday was a nice chill out day after such a hectic weekend.

On Tuesday I think I lost my mind and took the boys to the new soft play we had gone to on Saturday. It was manic and way too busy. I think we are going to try it out again once the schools are back.

Wednesday we enjoyed a shopping trip with my sister in law for some much needed trousers for Finley. He seems to have had a growth spurt and all his trousers are too short!

On Thursday we popped into town. We walked and then bussed it back again. We met a fellow local blogger in the park, which was lovely to talk blog with someone who talks our language. We unfortunately got caught in the rain but the boys thought it was so funny!

To end the week we enjoyed a trip to westonbirt with some friends. It again was such a lovely day with lots of giggles. Noah decided to jump in the biggest muddy puddle he could find, we dressed up baby in my sunglasses and Finley did some tree climbing!

Here's to the bank holiday weekend.

My Week At A Glance 17/08 - 21/08

This week has been just what we needed - chilled and relaxed with some fun thrown in.

On Monday we enjoyed a trip to Westonbirt. My friend was poorly so I said I would look after her little girl so she could get some rest. All three loved running around and we spent 5 hours there!! Couldn't quite believe it when I looked at my watch and it was 4pm.

Tuesday saw us spend the day with my old school friend. She has two boys like me and after they got on so well last week we organised another play date. Again they enjoyed themselves and there was lots of play fights - which is what boys do!! I then headed to the gym to burn off all the chocolate I plan to eat at the weekend with it being my birthday.

Well Wednesday was a total washout weather wise. We had a friend over for lunch with her children so at least the boys were entertained while we sipped tea and ate cake. They must have been so worn out from the playing they both fell asleep in the afternoon.

We needed to get out the house so on Thursday we headed in to town for some lunch with another friend and a play in the park. We took the bus home which the boys loved! I'll be writing about our bus trip next week.

To end the week we headed to Westonbirt again, but this time with a fully recovered best friend which I had missed all week! We also met my sister in law and nephew. Seeing all the children play was lovely. We found the new Gruffallo's Child and I obviously had to have a selfie.

I'm all refreshed now for my birthday weekend - yay!

My Week At A Glance 10/08 - 14/08

We're here again and another week has past in a flash. This week again has been like most, filled with fun and laughter. Followed by a very tired Mummy and Daddy! But all worth it.

We started the week off by the boys spending the day with their friends while I took my nan to a hospital appointment so no photos here. Before I went to collect the boys, Nan and I popped into the garden centre for some lunch. It was lovely to spend time with her and chat without having to run around after the boys. I am very lucky to have such amazing friends to look after the boys as they would have been seriously bored at the hospital.

Tuesday there are no photos again but we spent a lovely day with a school friend. She has two boys too and they all played so well together. They had a ball and were so tired when we left. Tuesday evening I went to boxfit again with a friend and after a freshen up we enjoyed a meal at the local pub, in their garden which was lovely as the sun was just setting.

On Wednesday we spent the day with my mother in law. The day started early with us leaving at 8am and arriving at Nana's just in time for breakfast. They enjoyed it naked as I didn't want their clothes getting dirty before our planned day out lol! We then headed to Noah's Ark Farm Zoo. I had won a competition to hide treats for the elephants which included a family ticket entry. It was the best day and the boys loved playing on all the play areas they had. It was great hiding a pineapple for the elephants to find.

We ended Wednesday with a 'paddle' in the sea, as my in laws live just across from the beach. The paddle turned into a dunk but they had so much fun!

Thursday we had the most hilarious day at Westonbirt Arboretum with my best friend and her little girl. Just so many things happened that make us laugh so hard, best day!! I took the shot of the three kids on my new camera in the woods.

On Friday we had more viewers for the house so we all descended on my best friends house and she made us the yummiest lunch. It was lovely just chilling together. We then ended the week by planning out visit to Disneyland Paris for Finley's birthday - so excited!!

Another awesome week with the boys!

My Week At A Glance 03/08 - 07/08

Weeks seem to be flying by and each Saturday I can't believe where the last week has gone. Last week we had a pretty relaxed one, but still full with not much time to sit down!

Monday we spent the day with my best friend. She came over to our house and the kids just spent the day running around playing. We did have a few tantrums when we popped into town, but don't know what I expect when I take 2 toddlers shopping!

Tuesday we went swimming. No photos here as getting two toddlers changed for swimming isn't the easiest when they are both trying to open the door, especially when I am stood there naked!! But they both had the best time while swimming so that was the main thing.

Tuesday evening I went to Boxfit, you can read my experience here.

On Wednesday we had a morning at home where the boys made stepping stones with books and generally played rather nicely. I had a play about with my new camera that hubby has got me for my birthday. Its not for a few weeks but I was allowed to have it early. After lunch we popped into town which ended in me scratching the car on a pillar. I was not impressed and just felt rather silly. But these things happen and as hubby said, its only a car.

Then Wednesday late afternoon we took a walk to McDonald's for tea. We had viewers for the house at tea time so I thought this was the best option to keep the boys occupied. On the way home Finley stood next to a tree and asked for a picture! Definitely my son lol!

On Thursday I had a morning in the hubby's office for a photo shoot they were having for their brochure, as I work part time for them I needed to be involved. Then we had some friends over in the afternoon for a playdate. Was lovely catching up, drinking tea and organising our night out next week.

Friday then saw my cousins wedding. We had the best time and it was so lovely to see loads of family we don't see that often. The boys played lovely with their second cousin which was great to see as I was always so close to my cousins growing up. I managed to get a few photos on the new camera, great for birthday and Christmas presents to go in frames!

This week is a busy one so we will have taken the weekend to recharge.
