Art Therapy Colouring Books - A Parragon Book Review

I used to love colouring as a kid and now when the boys are doing some I like to 'help' - or even get a colouring book myself and join in with them. I find it very therapeutic but the usual children's colouring books just aren't that challenging. I was sent a couple of Art Therapy Colouring Books from Parragon Books, and they were Disney ones, what more could a girl want. They looked beautiful and like they were going to be such fun to do.

I put them aside for a time when I had some time to myself as they aren't something I wanted to do with the boys, we've all got to have something for ourselves right! They have now been in the cupboard for a few weeks because since the move I just haven't been able to find the time to sit down and colour, until now. I don't have the fanciest of colouring pencils, which is now one thing I am going to go out and buy, but I did use some of the boys and they did the job just great.

The two books I was sent were the Princess one and a Frozen one. All the pages are different, some are white pages and some are black, you really can't get bored with these books.

Every page has something different and a different colouring challange. I started with the Princess book and I couldn't believe just how relaxed it made me feel, with just a little bit of colouring. I think it has something to do with the fact you have to concentrate so your mind is taken else where for a while, which is much needed when your a parent or even in every day life.

I then went onto the Frozen book which is brilliant and has so much stuff from the film in, I should know after watching it nearly every day for a month!

The quality of the paper which the colouring pages are printed on are great and really thick, definitely something you need when colouring. I would totally recommend these books as they are fantastic!

* I was sent these books by Parragon Book. All opinions are 100% my own. *

  1. Ooh, these look lovely. My (bossy) toddler often demands that I join her for colouring, but we're usually colouring in pictures of dinosaurs or animals ;) been meaning to try something more intricate! #picknmix

  2. I have got to take some time for myself and relax. I purchased an adult coloring book in April and I have yet to get started in it. I am going to find time this summer to do so. I love your books! ~Lowanda
