Last week was a quiet one for us apart from the bank holiday Monday. As it was half term we stayed home and made our own fun so we didn't have to battle the crowds at soft play and tourist attractions. We also made some big decisions for the family this week which is all very exciting, you can ready about it here A very big decision.
Out & About
We spent bank holiday Monday in the town that I spent my teenage years in at their annual Woolsack Races. We didn't really go to see the race as the boys wouldn't stand still for long enough. But we did stroll about all the street stalls, go on some fair rides (I was dragged onto the teacups, that's dedication for you) and obviously enjoyed an ice cream!
We spent a lot of time in the garden in between the rain showers. And once in the garden the was lots of bouncing on the trampoline which I love as it wears them out.
On Friday we enjoyed a walk into town with my sister in law where we indulged in a Costa and a wonder around the shops.
Fun at Home
We spent lots of this week playing with cars, whether it be zooming them along the floor or lining them all up and counting them.
The boys also loved playing horsey on Daddy's back, this went on for about half an hour and the hubby was exhausted after.
Time for Me
On Wednesday night I went to a friends salon and had my nails done. It was lovely to catch up with her and to also have some pampering. I went for a flamingo pink in preparation for my Race for Life that I did on Saturday.
My Happiest Moment
This week my happiest moment was on Tuesday as we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. I got home about 4pm to find my husband home early and a lovely selection of presents he had treated me to. Then we enjoyed a Chinese take away!
Enjoy some days out with the boys before Finley goes back to preschool, especially our zoo visit on Friday with some of our family. Also I hope the weather improves so we can get out and enjoy some walks and bike rides.
ooh pampering! lovely! And congrats on your wedding anniversary!

DeleteI love the flamingo pink nails - great choice! :) Good luck with your Race for Life.
ReplyDeleteI just read your post about your decision to move house - how exciting for you. It's something I think about lots as we live hours and hours away from both our families. I have zero support when it comes to looking after my daughter and it's ruddy hard work so I can see why you'd want to move despite having fantastic memories of your family home.
I'm glad you got spoiled on your anniversary - Happy 3 years together! :)
