Since I started my weight lose 2 years ago I have tried my best to eat a little more healthier. I was and still am a lover of anything sweet so this was tough but slowly I have changed my way of eating and enjoy my sweet treats as a treat, and have found healthier alternatives to curb my hunger. When I was contacted my Organic Flakees to see if I would like to review some of their products, I of course said yes.
I received a box in the post a few days later and it was very mysterious looking with their logo on as well as the words spiced, sweet and zesty. When I opened it up I had been sent 6 packets of Organic Flakees, 2 of each flavour.
Zesty which is Kiwi, Spinach, Lime & Chia.
Sweet which is Summer Berries, Beetroot & Chia.
Spiced which is Apple, Carrot, Pear & Chia.
I couldn't wait to crack one open to give them a try. That night I decided to add them to my dessert of fruit and yogurt, it was yummy. They are exactly what they say on the tin, flakes. They do look like they will be a little dry but in all honesty they aren't. They are packed full of flavour when eaten on their own and when added to food they add a new texture to the food.
I ate them both on their own as a snack and I also had them as I said with my yogurt and also my porridge.
I got both the boys to try them and my husband. Their first reaction was 'what is that?!' but once they tried them they really liked them. I even let the boys have one of the packs as part of their morning snack.
Each pack has only 52 calories and are made up of all natural ingredients. They are 100% pure, gently dried and made from 50/50 organic whole veggies and fruits. They are vegetarian and vegan friendly.
I will definitely be purchasing some of these as they were the perfect snack for both me and the boys.
* For the purpose of this review I was sent 6 packets of Organic Flakees. All opinions are 100% my own. *
