Family

This week has all been about family. The four of us. Our little unit, that means as long as we have each other then we can get through anything and jump over any hurdles that face us.
My husband has had two weeks off work. And this time is precious. He has worked for the same company for over 10 years but just under 2 years ago he became a partner. And he has worked so hard, works long hours and can get stressed, but never brings it home. So any time off he totally switches off from work and is family focused.
I know to have the life we have he has to work hard and I am not moaning about that. We are very lucky to have a husband and Daddy that works so hard for us. As that is what he does. He works to provide for us and to give us all the lovely things we have.
We have spent this week together. Finley has had preschool but we have mostly been home based. I have gone about my week as I normally would but with hubby home it has been nice to have him there. On hand to help out and to just be company. As it does get a little lonely when its just me and the boys. They are great company but talk of trains and Mr Tumble get a bit tiresome after a while.
We went swimming on Monday and the boys loved it. As it was a week day the pool was very quiet. It showed us we should go more often as we had such a great time.
Wednesday was a miserable day weather wise so we took the boys to soft play. And this was great having a second pair of hands and eyes. And Finley loved having his Daddy run around, sweating, after him and leading him through all the little tunnels that soft play has to offer.
It's been lovely for the boys to have their daddy home. For him to have been able to sleep in and catch up on much needed sleep. To spend all this time concentrating on them and taking in all they have to offer. For us to enjoy time together.
Back to reality on Monday but until then we will enjoy having Daddy home.
He also fitted my new washing machine!!!!
