It's that time again to have a look at the week just past.
It was the first week of the holidays and we didn't have much planned apart from lots of park visits. With the school holidays it makes soft play and other places very busy so we tend to spend our holidays chilling at home.
Sunday saw Noah's 2nd birthday party that he was hosting with his best friend. It was a pirate and princess theme so the boys dressed up as pirates. We all had the best time eating cake and stuffing our faces with sweets.
Monday we met some friends at the park. I think we spent a good 2 hours there, the boys loved it and managed to run off some steam.
We did the same on Tuesday but we met a different set of friends. This time Finley got to have a splash about in the splash pad. Noah didn't like it so he stayed in the main park. I didn't get a photo of the splash pad as there is no photography allowed which I can totally understand.
Wednesday saw a morning chilling at home followed by a walk around Westonbirt Arboretum. This was my stress day as things just didn't go to plan and the boys were a tad bit stroppy. You can read about it here. Which then made me stroppy. But it has to be said that we had a lovely walk and picnic in between the drama.
We made some thank you cards on Thursday to send out to friends and family that kindly got Noah birthday presents.
Then the rest of the week we spent at home, mooching about in our pj's in the mornings and generally spending some much needed cuddle time on the sofa.
But still out of all the stress and strops there have been some lovely moments that we have spent together.
I'm hoping the weather will brighten up next week which would mean we can get out more. And I'm hoping the week unfolds better than this week did.
You're like me! Soft play is out of bounds in the holidays! Glad you had fun in the park and with friends. Cuddle time sounds lovely too!!! Xx
ReplyDeleteSounds like a largely good week, I hope the weather is better next week too x
ReplyDeleteWe all love pj days where it is just about being rather then all the things to do. It is wonderful to reflect back on a week. #mummyandus
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had lots of fun in the park! I try and avoid soft play etc in the holidays, it's just too busy! I love a good PJ day though :) Hope you have a lovely week!

Happy Birthday, Noah!
ReplyDeleteWe really struggle for places to go in the summer hols because most stuff isn't on or is super, super busy. We end up staying at home or popping out to our local park. It does the job but would love a bit more variety, for my sanity's sake! ;)

Those pj days make the stroppy days fade in your memory dont they? Glad you had a good week. Thanks for sharing in #HappyDaysLinky x
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Birthday. It looks like they had a great time last week regardless of the weather. Their faces are full of mischief, especially that photo of your little one with his head in the hippo's mouth :-) #myweekataglance
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Noah! We have a new softplay centre on our street, but have only been once as it was FAR too busy for my liking. Maybe once school holidays are over, we'll go back. Or maybe when Pumpkin is older and can fend for herself a bit better. Love all your photos! The pirate one is adorable and I love me some Gruffalo! Thanks for joining #myweekataglance!
