Mother's Day Tea & Cake Morning at Finley's Pre School

I love going into Finley's pre school. And we are so lucky that they are so good with their communication with the parents and they also do a lot of events for the children involving us. I got invited by Finley's pre school to go in for tea and cake for Mothers Day. It was for this morning at drop off time which is 8.45am. I obviously replied yes as it is never too early for cake and I love seeing Finley in action there. And it was lovely. Noah also really enjoyed himself, it's great as the time he spends there gets him familiarised with the pre school as it is where he will go.

Going in this morning set my mind at rest as well as I don't get to see much of the children playing at drop off and pick up time and I worry far too much that Finley plays by himself. But he doesn't, I saw him setting up car ramps with the other boys and as I was leaving he was at a table playing a card game with some of the other children. Talking to the staff was also lovely as I get a little insight into how he is with them.

So we got to pre school this morning and were invited in by the staff. Waiting for us was tea and coffee along with a lovely selection of cakes. I then got to chat with the other mums, which are all so lovely, while Finley got on with what he does when he goes there and Noah enjoyed exploring.

I never took any pictures as I was worried the other parents may not like it so I just enjoyed my time watching the boys play in such a fantastic environment.

I had such a lovely morning and when I picked Finley up this lunchtime he thanked me for going into pre school with him!

  1. Even without the photos it's such a lovely moment to record. I don't take them either as you say it's not really something everyone is comfortable with abc our school is quite strict on it too. It sounds so lovely x

  2. What a lovely thing for the school to organise. It is so reassuring when you see them playing with others isn't it? I remember always worrying that mine played alone too but they never did. You are so right it is NEVER too early for cake! Have a lively Mother's Day X

  6. This is so sweet. I think most parents worry that their children don't socialise enough at nursery/school etc. but they are always willing to surprise us. :)
