The ladies that made me who I am today

With Mothers Day coming up I wanted to write about two great ladies that I am so lucky to have in my life. My Mum and My Nan.

Without them I wouldn't be the person I am today and I wouldn't be the Mum that I am. If I am half the Mum that my Mum is to me then I will be happy. I have always grown up being very close to them both. I can always go to my Mum about anything and she is always there when I need her.
One of my fondest memories of my childhood was that every Saturday, Mum, Nan, My Gramp (who I miss so much) and me would go shopping. Then after we would go back to Nan and Gramp's and all have tea. Tea would be sandwiches, crumpets and cakes while the final scores football was on the telly. This is my favourite tea even now.
My Mum is one of my best friends. She lives about an hour away from me but we still make the effort once a week to see each other. Before I had the boys we would go shopping and have lunch, just like when I was younger, Nan always joined us too. We would also have days out in London, a place that we both love, I even dragged Mum along to a Take That concert at Wembley. And then since I had the boys, she has always come over to our house to spend the day on either a Friday or Saturday. I love how this has become a regular thing as it means to boys get to spend quality time with her. For Finley's 3rd Birthday Mum came with us to Cbeebies land and she loved having the day with the boys.

My Nan has always been a huge part of my life. She will come with Mum when she visits us but if there is a week that Mum is unable to come over I will always make sure I go and visit her. The boys tend to destroy her house but she doesn't seem to mind. She has learnt to move anything out of their reach, lol. She is the most incredible Nan and I couldn't ask for a better one.

Also on my 21st Birthday

These two ladies support me in all the decisions I make and are always there for me whatever happens and whatever I do. They are also the most amazing Granny and Great Nanny to my boys and that is the most precious thing in the world. The boys get to grow up with these amazing ladies and I am so glad that they have been there to help me through what motherhood has thrown at me so far. I know they will be there for me whatever life throws at us in the future.

I really do cherish them and sometimes forget to tell them how much they mean to me and how much I love them.
